On the 11th of November 2024, Denis slipped away peacefully at Castlegar Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his sister Joan Whelan. Beloved husband of Rita. Will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters Arlene and Elaine, sons-in-law Paul and Shane, grandchildren Tara, Daniel, Alicia and Nathan, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at his residence, in Rowan House, Castlegar (H91 K6Y4), on Wednesday the 13th of November from 5pm until 8pm. Denis’ Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday, the 14th of November, in St. Columba’s Church, Castlegar, at 12:30pm. Denis will then be laid to rest in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore.
