Peacefully at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of The Late Margaret (née O'Brien). Will be sadly missed by his sons David and Derek Jnr., sisters Sheila, Maura and Ann, brothers Aidan (New York) and Raymond, daughters-in-law Úna and Louisa, adored grandaughters Joyce, Neasa and Róisín, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.
May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Irwin's Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin on Friday 3rd June from 5.00 pm, removal at 7.00 pm to St. Patrick's Church, Forster Street. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11.00 am, funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Bohermore. Derek is now reunited with his loving wife Margaret. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Julia, his sister Deirdre, his brothers Dermot and Kenneth (New York).
