Sr. Veronica died peacefully, in her 101st year, in the loving care of the staff and management of St. Mary's Nursing Home, Galway. Predeceased by her parents John and Margaret Gannon, her brothers Michael, Johnny and Peter, her sisters Bridie Gibbons and Rita Greaney, her brothers-in-law, sister-in-law and nephew Rory. Deeply regretted and fondly remembered by the Sisters of Mercy Western Province, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews and a large circle of friends. Sr. Veronica will be reposing in St. Vincent's Convent, Newstownsmith, Galway (H91 W6X4), from 2:30pm on Wednesday, December 13th, with removal at 5pm to the nearby Franciscan Abbey Church, St. Francis Street. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated There on Thursday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Rahoon Cemetery, Galway.
